When a child laughs, it’s beautiful.
When the 90-year-old man at the table next to mine grins, it’s wonderful.
When my parents dance together, it’s magical.
And all those inspire me.
When my sister wins, it’s exciting.
When my cousin bakes, it’s delicious.
When my aunt pulls a face, it’s hilarious.
And all those inspire me.
When a group of five boys make millions happy, it’s heartwarming.
When Michelle fights for education, it’s freeing.
When a young girl from Pakistan becomes the voice of a generation, it’s exhilarating.
And all those inspire me.
And I want to learn from them.
I want to laugh and grin and dance and win; bake, pull a face, and make people happy; fight, stand up for what’s right, and be inspirational to the world, in the way that the world is an inspiration to me.
And with my pen and paper, I start now.
